Nov 30th, 2007 by sjohnson
(Medford, Oregon-USA) A day-long effort to raise funds to replace windows at the Salvation Army intake facility in Medford has been achieved in just three-hours. The fundraiser, airing on “TheDove” radio for the Salvation Army, resulted in donations of $15,000 (US) to replace broken and damaged windows at the Medford Salvation Army intake facility during the morning news show. The goal was achieved after listeners of “TheDove” phoned the Salvation Army with their support after 33-windows were determined to be in need of repair or replacement. The on-air effort on “TheDove” included a representative of the Salvation Army describing their need as listeners called with support during the morning drive show.
The ‘Windows for Winter’ campaign follows an earlier fundraising goal to remodel restroom facilities at the Salvation Army which was also met by listeners of “TheDove”.
