How is this for a Christmas radio promotion?
(Medford, Oregon-USA) “TheDove Christmas Express” leaves Medford with radio staff and listeners to join Michael W. Smith, The Katina’s, and Melinda Doolittle (from ‘American Idol’) for Christmas on December 14!
TheDove Christmas package includes a reserved ticket for the concert site just south of Portland, Or., and motor coach transportation to and from the event. This 5-hour trip for 47-listeners and staff members, includes give-a-ways on the motor coach throughout the trip, along with a dinner stop before going to the concert site at Rolling Hills Community Church.
Those on “TheDove Christmas Express” will also find out that they have a chance to win backstage passes once the Express is underway!The $100 (US) covers the basic cost for the concert ticket and reserved coach seating, and is seen as a community outreach of TheDove. “This is not a fund raiser”, says TheDove’s Station Manager Perry Atkinson. “We want to make this a memorable experience. The connection with our listeners because of this event cannot be counted financially, and the ‘buzz’ associated with combining TheDove with Michael W. Smith and our listeners is priceless”, according to Atkinson. ….
A total sell-out of the ticket package was completed within 29-hours. ..pretty cool eh?
