UCB UK : Prayer Warriors
Nov 1st, 2007 by Gary
In the UK there are prayerline volunteers who faithfully and regularly answer phones, week in and week out! They are scattered all over the UK including Northern Ireland. I know that because on a recent trip to the UK I met them when they were at a ‘ get together’ at UCB UK at Hanchurch. It was great chatting with them
They are (from left to right they are) … Myrtle Montgomery, Frances Calvert, Monica Crawford, Daphne Tully. .
There are now over 350 Prayerline Satellite volunteers in 26 different locations. The exciting news is the extension of their opening hours! They are now open until midnight 2 days a week and are looking see this happen over every day.
If it were not for the prayer warriors and all they do for UCB world wide, I have no doubt that much of what we do would falter, this photo honours just 4 of them. Hey, if you have a prayer support team please consider posting their photos on the blog!

Blessings to you folks - this is my first login & experience of (blogging??). A cuppla years ago my wife, Raewyn, and I spent 10 days at Hanchurch looking at the set up for the UK Prayerline. We then came back to NZ and have since set up the NZ Christian Prayerline Trust in a loose relationship with the Rhema Broadcasting Group (Unlike the UCB relationships).
We are still in our infancy but have prayer opportunities via our website: http://www.nzpayerline.org.nz, using Text, Email and a free-phone number as our primary provision. We have just released a new commercial product called COPE for businesses which operates on a its own number based on the word number COPE - we are hoping to bring prayer as a response to problems etc in to the workplace. Have 5 companies on board so far.
One of my biggest dreams is to have and “International Prayer Link” where we can link with international Prayer Networks via the Internet (VOIP) and share our prayer “workloads” internationally, particularly being able to provide prayer offshore during the night time hours, and offer prayer to countries whose night-time is our daytime. Am hoping that if we can do this, we will also unite our prayer efforts world-wide.
