UCB Philippines: God holds the power.
Sep 27th, 2007 by Jim Reyes
September 17, the city of Davao experienced one of the worst power interruption. For the entire day, no electricity. I came to the station and saw everything on a stand still. Not a song was played on air that day. Not a bible verse said. No visitor. While i was praying, God told me how it is like without His divine enabling. The smallest thing we take for granted is from Him. I took a photo of our transmitter (see picture below), lifeless without Him.
And now a photo of studio activity the following day.
It is Him alone who enables us to do what He wants us to do.
Today I’m so thankful I can write a check for US$1,000 for our station’s electric power consumption. God blesses us just exactly at the time we needed the funds. It may be a small amount… but an entire city of 3 Million is blessed nonetheless.
In relation to this, last week we were able to share the station to promote it to about 2,000 teenagers in a Thursday gathering and about 1,000 teenagers in a Saturday gathering. When we asked who was listening to The Edge Davao, 90% of them raised their hand. I beamed a big smile back to God to say thank you for the US$1,000… we are very grateful He’s being heard by thousands of teenagers thru the music we play here on The Edge Davao. This generation will be a great one!
Here’s a photo of that youth event.
