The Word for Today - A word in season
Sep 22nd, 2007 by Andrew Pitchford
This week we received this email testimony from a supporter who lives about 1.5 hours from our office in Brisbane, AUSTRALIA.
I am the chaplain of the Christian Radio station in XXXXXX and I have recently been on a mission trip to Kenya, where unfortunately I gave my rental car to another pastor to drive on an errand. He lost control of the vehicle and killed three school children returning home from their school. Because he was threatened with being stoned to death he fled the scene and dumped the vehicle outside the local hotel where I was staying.
Your word for Monday 2nd September was very appropriate, as was your word for Monday 10th, when I was told by the magistrate that I was to go to jail for giving my rental car to another driver who caused this accident. Your word "Do not be afraid of sudden fear" was very appropriate, as was the peace of God which passed over me when I was placed into the cell, where I was able to preach and pray for many prisoners until I was released as a result of a clarification made to the judge in the case.![]()
I give praise and honour to you and your organization for continuing to make available welcomed message from the scriptures and real life people.
This testimony impacted many of our staff as the realisation of what the spreading of the seed of God’s Word means when a copy of The Word for Today goes out of our offices or studios around the world.
